El nuevo número misceláneo de nuestra revista sale a la luz con una selección de artículos procedentes del Congreso Internacional "Ecritures Plurielles et Croisements Trasatlantiques" que se celebró los días 27 y 28 de mayo del presente año, y cuyo marco teórico englobó tanto el diálogo transtalántico como la confluencia de escrituras, amén de delimitar una intersección conceptual plural y multidiciplinar entre ambas orillas.

En nuestra sección de "Agentes culturales" contamos con una interesante contribución de Raúl Cárdenas Osuna, director de Torolab, sobre intervención de agentes sociales y urbanismo molecular en México. 

"Transversales" incluye un ensayo sobre "Huesos en el desierto" de Milagros Ezquerro, un "Anaquel de microficciones" de Rosalba Campra y poemas de Juan Esteban Villegas. Por otra parte, Belén Ramos entrevista a Edmundo Paz-Soldán y en "Reseñas" nos dedicamos a las nuevas publicaciones de Julio Prieto, Isabel Mellado y Fabio Morábito.

Nuestro próximo número monográfico de junio lo coordina Erika Martínez y está dedicado a Alejandra Pizarnik y la literatura argentina escrita por mujeres.

The text presents the outline of the Plural Writings research project from a theoretical and descriptive point of view and also its practical and associative aspects.
It explains the origins and meanings of this term, its conceptual value, its object of study focusing on the plural forms of literary writing, and its theoretical-analytical application.
Attention is drawn to major and minor axes of study: geo-literary and geo-cultural spaces; the plurality of writing in time (diachronic and synchronic), genericity and its textual and hypertext variants, the author and his/her artifices, the plural perceptions of the reader.

The narrative of the twenties in Latin America extends significantly the areas of fiction, by transforming the spaces in engines of narrative action and the material objects in its protagonists. The novels of Mexican Revolution works in this same direction, and the objects of modernity (trains, guns, planes etc.) form a universe where the relationship among men and reality of things is not merely utilitarian but extremely complex. This article seeks to examine some of the novels of the twenties to demonstrate how, next to the myth of the Revolution, they build an image of the Revolution as door of the Modernity, as the moment of passage between the XIXth Century and the new one.

Sin duda, es Julio Cortázar uno de los autores de habla hispana que de forma más consciente ha intentado romper con las nociones clásicas de la literatura, proponiendo formas que se caracterizan por su libertad y por su falta de adecuación a un molde genérico. En este sentido, destacan sobre todo las obras que él mismo llamó “libros almanaque”, caracterizadas por su naturaleza miscelánea y caleidoscópica. Este trabajo se centra en una de ellas: La vuelta al día en ochenta mundos. A pesar de que el propio Cortázar defendiera el carácter heterogéneo y la falta de unidad y coherencia interna en esta publicación, el artículo se propone establecer algunos de sus elementos recurrentes, los cuales funcionan como ejes que recorren sus diferentes textos. Así, se reflexiona sobre el tono de complicidad con el lector mantenido a lo largo de sus páginas, sobre la metáfora de las esponjas y los camaleones como alter egos del escritor y sobre la presencia de los cronopios. Finalmente se propone la noción de “transrealidad” como ámbito de apertura y búsqueda de La vuelta al día en ochenta mundos.

An aphorism is an extremely brief prose of gnomic, non narrative and non fictional nature. To these defining features, we could add others plus contingent as its tendency to humor, wit, the surprise effect, the ellipse, or its passion for disagreeing. During the avant-garde, this discrepancy becomes lysergic and begins to subvert some of the traits that were supposedly essential. Against the efficacy of the classic aphorism, vanguards begin to build aphorisms from digressions, impossible logics, arbitrary images, moving into a new transgendered territory that drinks more than ever of poetry. Authors such as Fernández Moreno, Gómez de la Serna, Ramos Sucre, Juan Ramón or Bergamín gave the aphorism an unusual vitality and turned it into a new gadget.

Elena Garro, to which Borges defined as the “Tosltói of Mexico”, left us in Memories of Spain. 1937, a political and social testimony, a peculiar picture of the Spanish and foreign intellectuality, that one that went to II Congress the International of Antifascist Writers celebrated in 1937 between Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia and that tried to protest against the barbarism of a war without sense.
It turns out stimulating to find a stamp clear than it was this country of cities broken in a so dramatic time and to verify that the vision of the Mexican young person, who declared itself like “anti nada”, is very next to that we found in Memory of the Melancholy of Maria Teresa León, Spanish, fighter, politically involved with the left.

For more than one and a half of a century, the authors of detective novel have proved their capacity to renew and adapt it to the needs and concerns of each society in various historical contexts. The detective novel largely enjoys great success in Latin American countries and on the Iberian Peninsula, as it offers an updated account of events that respond well to the economic, political and moral crises of the contemporary age. The detective novel has also managed to offer a critical analysis of the recent past in order to uncover the dysfunctions of modern day reality in the described region. This article is therefore an attempt to unravel the circumstances leading the writers from both sides of the Atlantic to write at the same time this contemporary narrative that is free from formal and generic constraints. Their aim is to offer the chronicle of societies plunged into deep disenchantment.

The writing of venezuelan born Juan Carlos Méndez Guédez is a liquid writing that dissolves borders. National borders disappear with urban stories in which sensuality is a song to universality. Formal borders also vanish, with techniques that recreate the illogic stream of consciousness, and renew the traditional relationship between the two tales of a short story. The general dissolution of national and formal borders enables the birth of a universal writing in Spanish which points out beauty in everyday life.

Guillermo Cabrera Infante’s text ¡Vaya papaya! (1992) is a variation about Cuban painter and engraver Ramón Alejandro’s work (born in Havana in 1943 and living in Paris since 1963). He don’t only uses ekphrasis but diachronic symbology of the Cuban fruit and intertextuality for emphasize eroticism and sadism as allegory of subversive and affected cubanity

It is well known notion of Octavio Paz on the translation of poetry as an ongoing process of creation and recreation of a singular universal poem. The concept of translation in this case transcends the mere transfer of ideas and images from one language to another to become a transcript or emblem of poetic creation, a metaphor for the relationship between reality and metaphysical language dyes.
In my essay I intend to compare the poetry of Peace with the fundamental presuppositions of the so-called English metaphysical poets. For this purpose, will perform an analysis of both the original English translation by Octavio Paz of two poems by John Donne, "Elegy XIX. Going to Bed" and "The Anniversary".
This comparison illustrates, first, the idea of Octavio Paz of translation as a key driver along literary history in the process of transfer of ideas and styles from one era to another. On the other hand, we may also see significant similarities in regard to the metaphysical poetry of John Donne and certain fundamental ideas in the doctrine Paciana: eroticism and erotic relationship as Ceremony and symbol of universal principles, as well as budgets theological in nature that underlie the idea of the word as a recreating force.

The vast and complex novels of Juan José Saer invite us to think the importance of literary gender within his aesthetic project. By “novel” we understand here a highly codified gender as well as the place of an undetermined and overt writing. This paradoxical condition — which is inherent to the novel—, is an essential material and a fundamental topic of reflection for the development of his whole narrative project. By analyzing some characteristics of the novels published after Glosa, we will expose how the third period of the saerian narrative can be described as a tension between, on the one hand, the reflection on what the novel is as a gender, and on the other, the search of a new relationship between narration and experience.

In 1993, Juan Carlos Onetti published what would be his last book, When it doesn’t matter anymore. It seems quite difficult to define this novel, generically speaking, but we definitely can consider it as a closing novel since throughout its pages, the Uruguayan author takes up all the themes and characters of his former books in order to end up with them and with it. In this study, that intends to stay very close to the text, to the words, we’ll try to insist on the elements that indicate the final tone of the book, revealing a strong mechanism of literary farewell.

In December 2005, published, in Babelia, a poem unpublished of Javier Egea (Egea, "Song"). Two days later, in the same newspaper was an article entitled "The Book Javier Egea unknown", in which Fernando Valverde announced the discovery of a book of poems hitherto unknown Egea: Requiem. Indeed, the poem previously published in the literary supplement of El País, was contained in the unpublished poems that had come to light. The news had spread also in the local press, thanks to an article published in the newspaper Granada Ideal with the title "Requiem: an unfinished unpublished poems Javier Egea"

The TransBorderFarmLab for Camino Verde in the border city of Tijuana, B.C., Mexico from the art collective Torolab is a participatory project of great community impact, which revolves around the development of the city in relation to food intervening the community with higher nutritional poverty rate per square meter in the state, by applying creative economies initiatives and transdisciplinary operations.
